Not sure on this one because it simply says it will let you go.

Hi! The rule book says its a victory! You get the treasure but you dont level up. You took the monster out of the game by its card (bribe). You cant run away so you had 3 option. Defeat, victory with kill, victory without kill. Victory by killing gives treasure and +1 lvl. The bribing give same result like the charming: you neutralised the monster. Rule book confirm the neutralisation as a victory. The card doesnt say you wont get treasure and doesnt say its not a victory, but it called this type of neutralisation as victory. You cant run away but you wasnt in combat. If you cant run, arent beaten, and you neutralised the monster without fight, you cant be looser. Am I right?

"Sometimes a card will let you get rid of the monster without
killing it. This is still “winning,” but you don’t get a level. Unless the ability says otherwise, you don’t get the Treasures, either. If the last monster is removed from a combat, it ends instantly." The last sentence means: Moreover depending on the card, sometimes you dont get the treasure not either. It means I ll get the treasure if the card dont say I cant get treasure. The card rule is over the rule book rules but the card dont say I dont get treasure. What means victory if I dont get anything??? If the nose is the only enemy monster and I m a vinner by "bribe" what will I earn from the combat? |

Re: Is bribing Floating Nose a victory or just automatic Run Away?
Hi and welcome to the Munchkin forums! First: please don't post four messages in a row -- it breaks up the chat and questions/answers get scattered, especially when a couple of the replies just repeat earlier questions (which I have deleted). Once you get a few posts in, you'll have more ways to edit your posts so that doesn't happen.
The other note is always to check the dates before replying to a post, especially in this forum -- if a question is more than a couple of years old, it's possible there are more recent replies to elaborate or even alter answers. It is always worth checking before adding your response or questions. Thanks! Quote:
