With what I'm hoping will be the release of 6th Edition this year, is there any chance we'll get to see the official debut of the two Nihon units? I've been sitting back waiting for some sort of official stats for them for years.

GO96: Take a Mark IIIB, add 4 APs, replace missiles with one rack and four internals, SBs boosted to MB range.

And while Ogres can travel underwater, it is canon that deep ocean pressure is dangerous to the standard combat Ogre (all the background about the various problems getting Ogres across the Atlantic to Europe, and vice versa...); they aren't designed to handle it. Even if the Ogre is undamaged, many of its combat systems (and the electronics) would probably be severely damaged by the pressure and prolonged exposure to sea water.
This is true - any volume of the OGRE that is less dense than the armor that protects it will be crushed by unimaginable pressure.
It would also take so much more time than 5 days to find a safe route to from Japan to the west coast of the United States.

Just my 2 bits...

I'm hopping that with 6e on the horizon, Steve will find the time (and yes I know he's VERY busy) to squeeze in some official stats for the Oni's. We've been hearing about them for over 20 years, I'd really like to take a look whatever he's managed to come up with.

Bumping this up once again, as I'm hoping someone at SJG will be able to use the thread as a springboard for ideas for new scenarios.

New scenarios, or even just some canon artwork so we scratchbuilders can get to work.

Bumping this again, as I'm really pushing for these (and other units like the Golem) to get added to the list of units in the expansion set.

Bumping this as well as keeping my fingers crossed that someone at SJG is thinking along similar lines. And just our of curiosity, how many of you guys would like to see some of this stuff in an expansion set?
