It's back again, going on another tour. For those of us who, though now fully grown, still love dinosaurs, this is probably the closest you'll get to seeing the real thing (barring the eventual cloning of dino-DNA...).
The Show I saw it once, when it went through Northern California. I went on the day of a big storm. Sixty mph winds tearing across the state. Rain pouring down in buckets across the windshield. Car being blown side to side. Hydroplaning across multiple lanes. Big-rigs being blown over. One hour drive turned into two hours because of accidents and blocked lanes. Umbrella blown to shreds. Soaked to the skin by the time I made it into the arena. And more of the same Totally worth it. Sorry for not letting everyone know sooner. I only found out because it was one of those annoying messages that accumulate on the cable box... |

Too bad they can't get actors to portray the heroes of "Primevel" at the shows as well.

Some good news on the Primeval front: the fourth season will be out in 2011 (barring yet ANOTHER cancellation...).

I thought it got cancelled . It only had three British "seasons", and Two Seasons the way Americans do episode numbering. How did the two characters stranded in the trees got back to the present? Oh....I realize this might look like a thread drift - but I know from background information that both "Primevel" and the various "Walking with ..." shows were made by the same producers and they on purpose put in cross-references whenever possible ion all the shows. It was also mostly the same special effects artists and crew. - Ed

Will look out for Walking with Dinos. Could be a truly cool adventure now that the kids are a bit older.
Primeevil? ONly saw a bit here or there. Probably revisit it.

Just make sure that, if you go, you get a seat closer to the nosebleeds than to the arena floor. I must emphasize, the dinosaurs are HUGE. And the action isn't always restricted to one area of the arena floor.
Also, even though they SAY flash photography is forbidden, that rule is more often honored in the breech. It seemed there were strobe lights in the audience, so many flash pictures were taken... |
