I recently picked up the GURPS Mars PDF and noticed a small error. The chapter heading art for Chapters 6 & 7 (pages 91 & 106, respectively) seems to be reversed. The chapter labels and quotes seem to be correct - it just appears that the layers with the illustration were switched.
Now, I realize that this is a pretty small thing in the grand scheme and not likely to be a high priority. But I just wanted to point it out in case no one was aware of the problem and on the off chance that someone might be able to fix it.

I've looked at the file (in Adobe Reader 9) with a copy of the print version in hand, and I'm afraid I do not see the problem. In both the PDF and the printed book, the splash on page 91 shows the dudes on the boat and the splash on page 106 shows the evil-looking bug men.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to describe, the file looks fine to me.

Mr The Fox
I noticed this issue back when I bought my dead-tree copy of the book a few years back. You are correct in that the PDF matches the printed book. The issue is that Chapter 6 is about a martian invasion of Earth, but the artwork at the beginning of the chapter features a scene of a swashbuckling Jon Carteresque mars. Chapter 7 is about a swashbuckling Jon Carteresque Mars and features a cover page featuring what looks like a martian invasion of Earth. I suspect that this is one of the very few things that slipped past the editors in days of yore. Jon |

KnarG is exactly right. I should have been more explicit about what I meant. I suspected that this was an error from when the book was first assembled (I never saw the print version).
Like I said, not a huge issue and I certainly understand if it is either not correctable this late in the game or not worth the effort to do so. I just wanted to throw it out there on the off chance that it could be fixed for the PDF.

This problem is mentioned in the GURPS Mars Errata - does the PDF have the errata tagged onto the end of the file as some of the other PDFs do?

Oh, my apologies, I misunderstood.
The PDF "reprints" do not incorporate errata fixes, I'm afraid. They're just straight transfers of whatever the last printing of the book contained. So until and unless the process is changed, this won't be fixed.

I always though that the errata was given as a set of pages appended at the end of the PDF, after the book proper. It would be too much to ask for the errata to be applied to the text, but adding errata sheets, from the publicly available errata, shouldn't be too much work right?
