Certain cards like that one snowman monster make "fire" or "flame" items give extra bonuses. We couldn't decide (argued about) whether or not a Fire Breathing Steed (or I guess Dragon Steed, since it breathes fire naturally) counts as "fire/flame". To be safe we ruled that unless a card explicitly states it does "fire" or "flame" damage (there are a few that say this very explicitly) that it does not qualify. Is this correct, or are we supposed to figure out which items have fire/flame in addition to the ones that explicitly state it?

Dragon Steed does explicitly say it breathes Fire; therefore does Flame damage.

If something gives a combat bonus for "fire breath", then that's Fire damage -- the word "fire" is in the title, after all. In general, cards only explicitly say things like, "This counts as Flame damage," when the title of the card doesn't already have the word "fire" or "flame" in it.

We considered anything that could concievably deal fire damage a fire/flame weapon. (Hot Pepper Sauce, Staff of Napalm, etc.)
I'm 99.9% sure your steed is gone if you lost to the Snowman. |
