If a person has only a flame (candle, lantern, torch, etc) as a light-source and looks into the mirror for more than a moment, they will see a huge figure appear behind them. It appears to have bat-type wings. The figure bursts into flame, the air heats up towards flashover temperature....

And nothing happens. The air cools as quickly as it heated, and the mirror cracks off the wall. Anyone in the room will have first-degree burns on any exposed skin.

And dark-brown toast if they have slices of bread out.
And possibly s'mores if they have grahm crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate bars.

While this rule has done an admirable job of keeping the thread uncluttered, it does make it awfully hard to give feedback to the authors. I've several times wanted to compliment someone on an entry, but couldn't think of a room to add at the time.

Because none of the rooms impressed me enough to go back and reread the entire thread to find them again, or to remember keywords to ferret them out with the search function.

I've got an idea for another room, but it hasn't gelled into a readable format yet.
