Did you ask?

I continue to be surprised by people who want to be published writers but aren't willing to communicate with editors. If something isn't clear to you, don't guess and don't assume -- ASK.

If I had the time, I'd love to write an article about running Horror games in the setting.

Unfortunately, November will likely be a very busy month...

That would be useful. I'm working toward a THS horror campaign for next year.

Alternatively, you could just open up a call for more Toxic Memes. Those were fun the last time around, and I certainly have a few ideas for new ones...

My experience is that repeating the same idea over and over hits diminishing returns fairly fast in RPG publishing. I've been as guilty as anyone, but it may be a habit I should break.

Also, don't underestimate the editorial workload in those sorts of open call projects. It can wind up with an editor who feels like he's doubling as a writer, and a serious administrative workload for the company. I don't speak for SJGames in such things, but I wouldn't necessarily bet on seeing many more of those projects.

I wasn't talking about a full-fledged book (but hey, if Personnel Files can be a series of its own, then why not Toxic Memes?), but as an article for the Transhuman Space issue of Pyramid.

Maybe your emails aren't getting through? Try sending from a Gmail account -- I've seen situations (not at SJG) where a company had blocked an IP due to excessive spam, and the rare legitimate email got caught in it.

This kind of thing won't be a problem after everyone has uploaded themselves into the net.
