Default Dragging in other players

So I understand that the rules in this game are made to be broken as long as it adds to the flavor of the game. However, I wanted to hear whether the following breaks the rules as stated originally.

Whether you are using the Bard ability to make other people help you fight a monster, or you use the kneepads of allure to make someone help you, is it ok to force a THIRD person into a battle, or is the limit of people in a battle always maxed at 2?

It is understood that you can only ASK one more person to help you, but can you FORCE more than one other person to help you?

You may never have more than one helper at a time, voluntary or otherwise.

Also, I think you're confusing this game with Illuminati. Unless you are playing with your regular game group and you're all in agreement that the rules are fluid, please hew to the rules of the game as they are written.
