Ah. Well, in that case, if you go with a "micro-FAL" like the one posted above, or something like this: http://www.bushmaster.com/catalog_de...tion_index.asp from Bushmaster, then you could realistically expect 10-20 rounds in .308 or 20-30 rounds in .223 in such a battle-pistol configuration.

I think Max means something like this Remington or these HS precision pistols.

What about Guns! Guns! Guns! by Greg Porter? It has a conversion to 3e that needed tweaking. Is there a conversion guide for 4e out there? This way, one could design a .308 pistol to taste.

"Tweaking" is much too generous. It needed throwing away.

Fred, that doesn't answer my question. By the way, I needed tweaking only. Acc and SS had to be reworked. The rest was quite playable.

Then we have different conversion systems. The GURPS ranges from the conversion I have (1991 edition) are horribly broken.

You are really better off using the rules in VE2 than 3G3.

As I've said elsewhere, those conversion rules are very badly flawed. I'd use Fire, Fusion and Steel before I'd use 3G3 to design GURPS weapons.

(It's not that 3G3 is a bad system for creating firearms. You just have to toss the conversion rules and create your own.)

oui.

Contenders and Encores are pretty common around here. They are popular with road hunters since they are so handy to hang out of the truck window.

On a related note, "Obrez" sawed off Mosin as used by pistol-hungry Finns in the 40's.

Yes, that's more like it or like the aforementioned T/C Encore; I'm not picturing it as a hacked-down, semi-automatic assault rifle. But like I said, it's an imaginary gun, something akin to the .223 pistol in Fallout, and when I say "akin", I mean completely ripped off, except for a calibre upgrade. I imagine it would have an internal magazine, or maybe it could even be a revolver.

Road hunters? Hanging out the truck window? You have very different hunting laws than in Denmark, let me tell you. :)

Okay, and you say that it doesn't kick much more than a .357? Duly noted. I'll keep the recoil lower then.

Thanks all around, gents. I think I have what I need.

Only Handicapped are allowed to shoot from a vehicle. :-)

Its verboten to discharge a firearm within 100 yards of a roadway.
