Me too. I was expecting to find these options in some way *. They can have been discarded for making it simpler or for saving space, I don't know. But adding to what you're saying about unused Fatigue Points, I also find that Extra Effort in Combat adds much to Dungeon Fantasy games.

On the other hand, it looks like it's allowed to put here, in the DFRPG forum, these options from the Basic Set with our own words, like I did above.

* I could have been more explicit by asking about Extra Effort in Combat instead of Extra Effort in general.

I just want to add that there are similar approaches to extra effort in combat but for casting spells, also interesting to use with the Dungeon Fantasy RPG.

Some of them are Spell Defaults, Trading Energy for Speed and Skill, Adjustable Spells, Faster Casting and Increased Effective Skill, detailed in GURPS Thaumatology, Chapter 2: Minor Spell Variants.
