Default Official examples of how Semi-Ablative DR works?

Was discussed in 2008 and 2014 and lots of theories were posited but it was kind of unclear on how to interpret B47

Here are some situations I would like to explore with semi-ablative DR 100. Let say the one with it has 9000 HP so they survive a lot that gets past.

1) hit 100 times for 1 DMG
2) hit 10 times for 10 DMG
3) hit 1 time for 100 DMG
4) hit 1 time for 500 DMG

This is all "basic damage" hitting the DR, not due to multipliers from hit location or crits.

"every 10 points of basic damage rolled removes one point of DR" raises questions:

1) rolled in a single blow or a total of 10 across many blows?
2) damage rolled stopped by the DR or also excess damage that goes on to hit HP?

"Regardless of whether or not the attack penetrates DR" as best I can tell means if you do 10 DMG to 20 ablative DR it is reduced to 19.

But not sure what happens if you do 10 DMG to 1 DR. 9 of that hits HP.
