Default Teaching Munchkin

I was recently at a gaming con and there was someone teaching whoever wanted to play Munchkin. Not a MIB. I noticed that he was teaching them (4 kids and an adult) the wrong way to play. What do you do? Tell them he's wrong or just let it go?

Join the game.

Play correctly.

When countered, ask to view the rules and say something similar to "this is how I learned."

Or, you know, depending on the day...

Life's too short to correct all the people who are wrong in the world, and if they seem to be having fun and it's not an official demo, let it go. At most, you can talk to them later and say, "You know, I was watching the game, and it looked like you had a lot of fun. I didn't want to interrupt while you were enjoying yourselves, but in case you play in a tournament or something, you should know that Looting the Room works like this."

If they were having fun; no harm, no foul. One of my all-time favorite games, Space Hulk, was one I was introduced to and they did almost _everything_ wrong, but I still enjoyed it enough to buy it. I found out the errors later when I got my own copy and read the rules; the group playing will probably do the same.

Half the fun is house rules.

That being said, my sister and her partner who make up half our game group, and are also part of a different larger group, and the leader of that group plays literally EVERY game wrong, makes it a pain in the backside whenever we get a game and they have already played it with the other group.
