Default Length of a turn

Hi, we have been playing for a few weeks and are all new to the game. We have been going slow so we can all get used to what the cards do and such.
But we are getting to a point now where games are taking like 3-4 hours and we end up having a lot of discussion when trying to decide if we want to buff a monster so someone can't gain a level/win.

My question is how long should we be giving people to decide what they are gonna do?
Last night I could have easily killed the monster I encountered, but I gave the others about 10 minutes to finally decide what they were going to do, which resulted in me being unable to kill the monster and having to try and flee (which I did).
I assume this is just a house rule situation? But wondered if there is an official rule or guideline that would help.

Thank you

We don't define "reasonable time" in the rules because it really is up to each group to figure out what reasonable means.

Having said that, in our own games, we usually do a slow three count: "OK, I'm winning. Does anyone want to stop me? ... One ... Two ... Three. I win." (It's actually "... Two Point Six," because of the "2.6 seconds" joke in the rules, but you get the idea.) Allowing 10 minutes is very generous but not what I'd consider "reasonable" in my own games.

Thank you for the response. I'll show this to my group so we can come up with an agreed reasonable time.
