Both of you guys are good to go.

I think I have everyone's final builds, but I'd like you guys to re-post your approved builds once I get the OOC thread up.

Just to make sure, here is what I have for the party's composition:

Lee the Eel - Mutated Scavenger - GnomesofZurich
Dr. James Cole - Hardy Doc - RogerBW
Silas Longnecker - Hardy Hunter - Ransom
Corbin Drake - Hardy Trooper - Skullcrusher
Linford Cauldenhoff - Blessed Tech - ericthered
Hank Cafferty - Blessed Trader - Bogie1494

Also, I'm not too worried about character backstories yet. You guys don't know too much about the setting, so it's gonna be hard to do a detailed background that works.

I figured we could develop everyone's backstories organically as the game goes on and you all get more familiar with the setting.

I'll try to have the first OOC post up either tonight or tomorrow night.

Do you guys have any questions?

Hey, how have you guys handled or seen other GMs handle the Luck and Extraordinary Luck advantages in PBP games?

Easiest is probably the Game Time enhancement from Power-Ups 4 p. 14. Uses per real-world hour map to uses per game-time day, more if there's lots of "slow" time in the game (e.g. combat).

That makes sense. So per hour use becomes per game day use. Works for me.

I've used it and found that favors certain kinds of games. I've done per 'segment' (that game had clearly defined segments though) and per post count.

If we're going to spend a lot of time on the first few hours of the game I'd really rather not have super long recharge times.

Though he did say more if its slower -- is that really in the modifier? Or is that just a really well thought out house-rule?

EDIT: found the difference. I generally reference the version of the rule in powers, not powerups 4.

Dont worry, I'll try to make sure it's worth the points investment. I'll probably let you guys use it once per "scene" (or twice per scene for extraordinary luck), and something like that for Serendipity.

The format we are playing in should not neuter something you spent points on.

That's what I have always preferred - the game time modifier also does screwy things with "down time" stuff.
