I understand the rules about added monsters and asking for assistance from another player, here's the senario the wife and I question when my daughter and friends play:
- I drew a monster card that was a +5 (going off memory) - another player puts a +5 monster enhancer - another player puts a +8 monster down using the wandering monster card Looking at my hand I know I can beat it so I start tabling my cards in my hand to defeat the monster when someone else see I'm going to win then plays another wandering monster card (I think it was a +18 monster). Knowing it's impossible to beat I decided to pick my cards up and run away but they said that I've already chosen to fight by tabling the cards and the cards are in play. My question is: Should all the monster cards be declared first before I start the fight or are they right and they can add monsters half way through my fight or in this case I declared I could win and so they tabled another monster card. |

Monsters can be added in the middle of the fight, including in response to cards that you play. Your opponents always have a chance to counter your moves when you declare that you are winning the fight.
