"usable by halfling only" cards
While playing Munchkin we have came to disagree on the reading of a couple cards. The cards have been bought by two couples so its a tie if you go with owner rules!
Example... Elf Hireling...can carry anything that an elf can normally carry. can an elf hireling carry the limburger and anchovy sandwich that is "usable by a halfling only"? |

Re: "usable by halfling only" cards
It can carry it, but it cannot use it. Thus, there is no point in giving that card to the Elf Hireling, especially seeing as you could carry that Item yourself instead.

Re: "usable by halfling only" cards
The precise wording on the card is, "Can carry and use any one Item than an Elf can use." An Elf cannot use the Limburger and Anchovy Sandwich, so the Elf Hireling cannot carry it at all.

I will point however, that this statement is correct in any case. You can carry (i.e., have in play) Items you can't use because the rules say so. You must turn those Items you can't use sideways, also because the rules say so.
