Default [3e] Dymaxion Car

If Scooby Do did Film Noir:

Dymaxion Van (TL6)
Like Buckminster Fuller’s other “Dymaxion” projects, the Dymaxion car was designed with the idea of improving the welfare of society. The concept car was produced in 1933, and featured a very unique and aerodynamic teardrop shape, ultralight construction, good fuel efficiency, three wheels, and capacity for 11 passengers. Unfortunately, having a single third wheel to the rear for steering made driving slightly less intuitive, and an accident with prototype number 2 at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair (in which the driver was killed) sealed the car’s fate. Only 3 prototypes were ever constructed, and only one of those survives at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada. However, in 2010, the London architect Norman Foster recreated a “fourth” Dymaxion from the original plans.
The Dymaxion burns 2.8 gallons of gasoline per hour at routine usage. Historical efficiency was 30 mpg. A full tank of fuel costs $45.

Subassemblies: Body +4, 3 wheels +0.
Powertrain: 63-kW wheeled drivetrain with 63-kW standard gasoline engine, 2,000-kWs lead acid battery.
Fuel: 30 gallons gasoline (Fire 12).
Occupancy: 1 NCS, 10 CPS.
Cargo: 20 cf.
