Discard hireling and 'even if you escape' text
If you discard your hireling as a sacrifice to automatically escape from monsters, do you still suffer any 'even if you escape' text that the monsters have? An example monster would be King Tut, who you lose two levels to even if you escape.
I was under the impression that the condition of the sacrifice that allows you to escape even if escape is impossible means that the hireling would take away these effects too, but I thought it's different enough to require a ruling. |

An automatic escape is still an escape, and any "even if you escape" effects would still occur.
