iPad is way out front in terms of features. I have over 200 PDFs on mine including work documents and scalable technical drawings in addition to the usual files, books, movies, photos, e-mail, internet video conferencing [iPad 2], etc.
Pyramid Magazine takes advantage of all features. Other SJG releases; most features and some of the "classic" PDFs may be simple scans with only basic features, although many "classic" PDFs include Bookmarks, Options, Search and of course page thumbnails.

I'll pull out my Nook Color and give it a try this weekend.
