Don't I know it. But as a first approximation, the words used are as close to modern English as is feasible.
Acting vs. Performance can lead to arguments when referring to someone's favorite actor, I've found.
I get that Dentistry-Surgery-Barbery used to be the same profession. And that pretty much all skills really are man-made divisions of all knowledge making many splits cultural rather than objective.
But Surgery is Very Hard, and I'm not sure that as many dentists as exist could reach professional levels even with an optional specialization.
