You could ask just any MIB, yes, and he could give you an answer, but his authority to give an answer to an, as yet, officially
unanswered question would be suspect.
But, if you ask me, and you should be asking me, I can give an official answer with authority without suspicion.
So, if you want my gut opinion: The ability to make a Level 5 or lower Monster a Pet is an Epic feat of Human nature. I also feel that keeping that pet requires some level of humanity and an Epic quality as well. I.e., I would say that an Epic Human's pet would be lost if that character lost his Epicness or his humanity.
I have passed this one on up, however, as I would say that I have heard arguments (though none
compelling enough to make me change my mind), that make me wonder and consider the other possibility worthy of discussing with higher powers.
