The specific dates of the lives and reigns of the early Irish High Kings like
Túathal are rather disputed. I'm making an educated guess based on the available options. In the context of the Matter of Ireland, Caomh was born somewhat more than a century after the famous
Cattle Raid of Cooley, which may have taken place during the reign of High King
Conaire Mór. I gave him a lyre because the triangular Celtic harp seems not to have been developed yet, whereas lyres have been found in the British Isles as far back as the Bronze Age (brought by Phonecian traders, perhaps).
When Caomh was a small child, the village Wise Woman prophesized that he would be killed by a horse... or possibly a man, ship, weapon, or other such thing
named 'Horse'. Since then, he has taken care to stay out of kicking range, but he does worry that he may be misinterpreting it. In a GURPS Celtic Myth campaigne, he should have a gesa to this effect, and his Compulsive Carousing might be converted into one, as well. Likewise, in a campaigne where Destiny applies, he may have it... if the Wise Woman made a true prophecy, at least.
His Enemies are various men whose wives, sisters, or daughters he slept with (and a few he just gambled too well with). Not all of them want him
dead, but enough do to justify the disadvantage. None of them are named Capall or Ech ('Horse'), though.
Caomh is based on the Minstrel template, GURPS Historical Folks p75 (and the
4e conversion hosted at RPK's MyGURPS.com, p31), the Storyteller template, p105 (and p45), and the Chess Master package from GURPS Psis, p25.
