That's true, but I was talking about terrain. If you used N-scale scenery pieces, for your 1-inch car models, no one would ever notice that the scenery was a pinch too big. Well, maybe if you were an architectural modeller, working with buildings and cars in scale all day at work, but the vast majority of us would never notice. Then you could just source or make 1" car models, save a fortune on weirdly scaled scenery pieces and be happy.
