But what if that 40 pound weight was twice your size, more than twice as strong as you, and trying to shove your face into the dirt?

You're applying acceleration to try and lift off, and he uses his greater strength and mass to redirect you into the ground. You might do yourself some damage trying though.

Sure... Superman could fly while the Hulk is holding on to him. But Sups is quite a bit stronger than the hulk.

Of course, these are all LOGIC arguments about super heroes. What would be truly useful would be a rule in the books someplace that would apply.

The rules (pg 371) state that you can't move while grappled unless you're stronger than the grappler. Is there anything that states that flight trumps that?
