In my campaign, no; Discord-stripping is a routine part of Redemption attempts, even though the new angel may lose a Force or two in the appropriate realms.

Encourage the new Ofanite to serve an Archangel who expects his servitors to "smite and run"; Michael and (canon) Gabriel are especially good Superiors for the "badass Wheel". If the ex-Calabite doesn't mind taking strict orders and working in a close-knit group, Laurence might even consider taking him in...think of Sword Wheels as the equivalent of SWAT agents.
