Well let's burn through one of the thin spots on the bottom of the tunnel then. I don't imagine the dirt and vegetation will burn that well.

I think about roots and the vegetation as I continue marching. Probably makes sense to have leaves at the bottom when all the sunlight comes from that direction. Don't really need to grow against gravity either. The mass tangle I'm walking on is probably like the canopy of a rainforest. A little surprising that it can handle the weight of a person.
