I'd problem not bother with allowing him to block off his brawling skill*.

But I probably would say a parry with his brawling skill using a ready buckler wouldn't count as unarmed.

I'd also let them use buckler with Brawling at Thr cr, same a brass knuckles.



*but a skill adaption perk would work here
