This is the way I read it.
A (1hp) Turn 1: Do Nothing (or any other maneuver)
B Turn 1: Attack A who doesn't defend or fails his defense roll, does 2hp dmg

A (-1hp) Turn 2: Makes a HT roll for going below 0hp and succeeds, remains conscious. Continues to Do Nothing
B Turn 2: Attacks A, does 2hp dmg

A (-3hp) Turn 3: Doesn't make a HT roll, remains conscious. Do Nothing
B Turn 3: Attacks A, B succeeds with his dodge

A (-3hp) Turn 4: Makes a HT roll and fails, falls unconscious.
