In curses where you have to discard the items, I know they no longer hold any space.But In Curse! Cursed Thingy it's clear that the cursed item has no abilities or bonuses, but you still have it in front of you. What happens in that case, especially if you had it equipped? I had that curse in mind, when I made the thread.
