The latter would be a one-handed grapple, rather than two-handed, which is a significant drawback. Additionally, as we're talking about
sneaking up on and removing a sentry, if you wanted to do it as two attacks in one round you'd probably want to use All Out Attack (Double), which eliminates the penalty.
