I played a game - a Glorantha-style heroquest - that contained a mixture of AD&D1e plus a lot of house rules, AD&D2e without house rules, Marvel Superheroes and RuneQuest characters. The players were operating in their characters' native system, and the GM was translating, producing quotes like "RQ hit by 53%, 8 points of RQ damage". Being a heroquest actually seemed to make the GM's job easier, since symbolism was more important than precise statistics.
