Technically, Space Opera's "Star Torps" travel exactly at the speed of light. They are also only self-guiding at 300 light-seconds or less. You can guide them from the firing ships up to 2100 LS though. Because of the bonus to hit ship guided was the normal mode of operation.
So with collapsium armor, no one shot kills of any capital ship with any weapon, massive batteries of multiple weapons, the use of StarFighters and pretty much everything else Space opera resembles Star Trek about as little as possible.
