Now THAT is a tough scenario. A prize to anyone who can use a cornered basilisk to defeat 8 competent humanoids, not to mention 39-point characters, skilled crossbowmen, wizards which can undo the basilisk's freeze ability and cause their friends to then get to immediately attack, and of course, the "Brand-ed crossbow bolt" that supposedly is legal, supposedly does +2 damage, and supposedly doesn't set your crossbow on fire when it's loaded and you get frozen with it burning.
