Consequences of this include:
  1. Emperors start doing all, as in all, of their business in writing.
  2. Emperors start abdicating quite rapidly, so as to get some privacy.
  3. Messengers arrive from China, offering to exchange the Emperor's head for an equal weight of gold, so that we can get some sleep.
  4. Rome gives up having emperors, as the alternative is to fight the entire world.
