Nope. Even if you could play cards to affect the one-shot illusion of the
Gnome, it adds its level to yours, not its combat strength, and those cards do not affect a monster's level.
In the spirit of the thread title, a
Gnome with
Avatar and a Level 20 monster in their hand is pretty awesome. Allows them to get themselves up to at least a combat strength of 63 (if they are level 1) for one battle with no risk of being caught even if they lose.
