I find the slow slam problem doesn't show up in the difference between a Move 5 and Move 10 person, but when a person does a 1 hex slam. By using with full move rule, you eliminate what I find to be the biggest problem...which is when a small person eliminates its mass disadvantage by reducing speed to the absolute minimum.
