You keep posting such questions in Transhuman Space, where the setting isn't exactly conducive to building distant hidden colonies, particularly ones big enough to
matter in the grand scheme of things. May I suggest an alternative direction? Take a look at Eclipse Phase, which is to a noticeable extent inspired by Transhuman Space, and actually explores the topic of such massive war and other existential risks to all of humanity . . . and even has such colonies depicted in e.g.
Gatecrashing*. I suggest you take a look at the EP community and try discussing your ideas with them - whether by
forum or
discord.
