Default Re: When exactly can you NOT play a curse?

A few questions to clarify use of the Wishing Ring against this curse...

If you are hit by Curse! Lose Two Cards and you have a Wishing Ring on the table, can you use it to cancel the curse since it can also be used at any time and (as Brf stipulates) says specifically that it can be used to cancel a curse?

If you are hit by Curse! Lose Two Cards and you have a Wishing Ring in your hand, then does the curse's action on your hand (losing two cards and possibly your ring) have to be resolved before it would be legal to play anything from your hand, or can the wishing ring still be used to break the curse's action?

Or, is Blozcot correct in arguing:
Quote:
...once Curse! Lose Two Cards officially takes effect, you can't play anything until it's done; it's even too late to play a Wishing Ring at this point. The Curse happened, it resolves, next.
... where the wishing ring is totally ineffective at countering this curse.
