Using an apparent eidetic memory (often called a “photographic memory”), he could retain all of the information until after the transaction when he could jot it down.
He might have Eidetic Memory, but it sounds like something that could be done with a bit of memory training. (And he wouldn't need to write them down if he actually had full Eidetic Memory :P)
