[CONT'D from post #53 above]
GURPS Traveller update --
Current Incarnation of the game is to be a combat-centered ISW [Interstellar Wars] scenario, with PCs being Special-Forces-type troops fighting on the side of Terra against the Imperial Devils of Vland, dropped on planets in advance of a Terran invasion to soften-up resistance for the main battle force.
Players are now: bigjakev2.0, Marcus, and Frosty. Dorin Thorha was specifically invited to make up for his being bumped/denied entry to my last game, but he has declined for scheduling reasons. We have room for one more player, at least. We can certainly make a go of it with what we now have, but we'll accept one more, and I might just take two more. [MisterJuan? Sn0wball? doulos05?] Recruiting will close this coming weekend, Jan 13-15, 2012.

Spoiler:
Character creation info, 1 character per player:
215-point build
15-point max for disads and quirks combined
[PCs are Terran Confederation Marines/Navy/Army/Scouts/Multi-Service]
PCs should be heavy on combat skills of one sort or another, ranged & melee, modern (TL10) and prmitive -- probably better to have a healthy mix across the party. Small group tactics and survival will also be very important as will vehicle skills of many different types and flavors. We have dire need also for a medic and back-up medic. A variety of languages will be very useful. Academics, eh, probably not so much, but I'm willing to reward new and innovative uses of these as well, just keep it in the realm of possibility. A scientist bored with university life who enlists or accepts a commission in the Marines is possible, I suppose.
Different services for PCs are acceptable, but missions will generally be passed to PCs from the Marines, so the highest ranking Marine member of the group will likely be the titular "leader," but each PC will lead in his particular field of specialty.
WARNING: NC17 rating for violence, depravity, and extreme gore. Minors applying should have parental consent signed, scanned, and ready for transmission.
