Right now we have an emphasis on the supernatural: a god's avatar, a curse victim, and a personification of a natural process. There is room for technological abilities, but between those two you can actually do a lot of concepts.

Less 4-Color and more open is fine with me.

I would like to propose the existence of proper heroes that fight 'evil' and pose a serious threat at least to the plans of immortals like the villains.
