Re: Villains worth Stealing!
I recently got one of those DC archives collections covering several issues of All-Star Comics back when the original Justice Society was the star of the book. This lead me to become aware of the 1940s version of the Psycho-Pirate. He's a really impressive and actually realistic villain.
The 1940s Psycho-Pirate is basically a shrewd psychologist who manipulates people's emotions and frustrations in order to get them to commit crimes or simply disrupt their surroundings enough to make crimes easy for the Psycho-Pirate's gang.
It's a solid model and theme for a villain.
