From Raw Fibre? Days at the very least.
First you have to weave the fibre into cloth (possibly spinning it into a usable form first). Cloth armour takes a lot of cloth.
After you have the fabric, you then have to fit it and sew it all together. Hand sewing a heavy padded jacket takes time.
