Up on the south side of Tower Bridge 51.50/-0.07 you've got warehouses converted to flats/offices (Shad Thames, Butler's Wharf).

There's not much left in the way of old buildings, because WWII happened, and then the 1960s. Down by City Airport/Silvertown 51.50/0.03 you've got some industrial estates on the north side of the river, but not much retail.
