Far Trader can be adapted to non SF games with a little work. So if trading is part of the campaign it can be real useful. First In is good for designing worlds. The Starports gives nice details to make them important in a campaign. The whole range of Aliens books including Humaniti are useful if you either file off the serial numbers or Traveller aliens in another world doesn't bother your players. Starships if you like how Traveller does things like jump drives.
