Grenades are a key supplementary weapon. Your grenade launcher lets you place smoke screens, attack around obstacles, fire large armor-piercing rounds, hit enemy positions with SQID and if they're dumb (or poor) enough, drop eyes of your own in enemy territory. But SQID actually has led to guns replacing the old grenade throwers: war used to be an elegant game of placing grenade sized drones every where and playing around with jamming. Now its devolved into archaic fire fights.
