Borderline-sapient amphibious pseudo-cephalopod aliens may sound hard to play. they are already quite hard to imagine! ;-)
If you run a campaign with
cats fighting Cthulhu mythos, it can be a bit more attractive ... That game has it's own rule system, but I'm sure it could be handled very well with GURPS.
