Heh. Just throw on a trenchcoat, grab some sunglasses, and carry a prop sword under the coat. Explain that you're not a McLeod, but are instead an Angel of the Lord. I agree though, the wings would be necessary to prompt the right questions.
Just make sure its not an Anime con. I've seen enough con-reports/photo-essays to note that every man/girl/??? and their respecitce dog(s) have wings :P
Dressing in a black suit with sunglasses, earpiece, and sword would go down well. Especially with two friends.
