That has five nested layers of hexes/megahexes. From smallest to largest: Grey, Thin Black, Red, Blue, Thick Black. The ITL section on map scales lists 9 levels, so this image illustrates either the top or bottom half of the list.
If the small Grey hexes are Melee Combat Hexes, then the next four up are Labyrinth, Village, Town and City.
But if the small Grey hexes are City, then the next four up are County, Barony, Duchy and Province. |
