Dark Wind is great. It's a rather amazing blend of turn-based and action games.

Are the Interstate 76 games on Steam? Or Carmageddon?

I've never been able to track down it's name, but as a kid to early teen (late 80's to early 90's) there was an arcade game in our local store. A sorta 3/4 top-down "auto combat" game where you are this truck/jeep vehicle and driving down a straight road for the entire game (straight, but I believe it pointed diagonally up and to the right). The terrain changes somewhat: bridges, colors, etc, but always was a straight road. Does that ring any bells for anyone? Very Zaxxon like in layout, but with a heavy vehicle.
